Third Party Inspection
Information you need for your Third Party UST Inspection...
General Information
Please note you must have the following when we arive at your site:

-A license to store flammables/combustibles posted on site?
-Is a current certificate of registration posted on site?
-Is a current permit to maintain UST's posted on site?
-Is the current Form FP-290 accurate?
-Tank information?

Inventory Control Information
Please note you must prove that you are abiding by these procedures:

-Readings are recorded daily when operating.
-Inventory records are reconciled monthly.
-Appropriate calibration chart is used for calculating volume to nearest 1/8".
-Stick readings are logged before each delivery.
-Stick readings are logged after each delivery.
-Gauge stick is marked to determine product level to the nearest 1/8".
-Gauge stick can measure to full height of tank.
-Monthly water readings checked to the nearest 1/8" and used to calculate inventory balances.
-Each dispenser is metered and recorded within state or local standards for meter calibration.
-Total monthly overages (or shortages) are less than 130 gallons plus .05 percent of tank's flow-through (sales) volume for the last 12 months.
-Existing release detection results indicate operation without evidence of a release.
-Monthly release detection records are available for the last 12 months. (Monitoring must show that eight of the past 12 months have a passing record, with no more than two consecutive months of inconclusive results.

Tightness Testing (Piping)
Please note you must have the paperwork to prove that you have had this testing done:

-Test method is on NWGLDE list as a 0.1gph tightness test.
-Tightness test last performed.
-Last tightness-test results available and passed.
-Tightness testing is conducted within specified time frames for method; annually for pressurized piping, every 3 years for non-exempt suction piping.

Corrosion Prevention
Please note you must prove that you are abiding by these procedures/testing:

-Tank passed test in accordance with NACE Standard RP-0285.
-Pipe passed test in accordance with NACE Standard RP-0285.
-Record of last two cathodic protection tests on file with owner or operator. CP tests.
-*Customers with steel tanks only* Cathodic protection system tested/inspected within 6 months of repair of UST system.
-System has power and is turned on.
-60-day log is present and filled out properly.
-Tank passed test in accordance with NACE RP-0285-2002.
-Pipe passed test in accordance with NACE SP0169-2007.
-Record of last two cathodic protection tests on file with owner or operator.
-Cathodic protection system tested and inspected with 6 months of repair of UST system.
